All-Con is a multimedia fan run convention that goes on every March in Dallas, TX. The convention held its eleventh event (themed “Disovering New Horizons”) March 12th – 15th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Addison, TX. Guests included Doug Jones (Hellboy), Camden Toy (Buffy), and many more.

This year was jam packed with events from the Wednesday Night Pajama Party to the Imperial Gladiators to the Costume Contest! There was a Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog showing (and of course – sing-along), a Rocky Horror shadowcast, a burlesque, gaming, trivia contests, panels, you name it! If you’re into a particular fandom, it was well represented. The amount of costuming that was there was mind blowing! Everyone looked great! There was a lot of Doctor Who costuming, Star Wars, Star Trek, Superheroes – you name it. My particular favorite was Forrest Gump. Why? Because it’s something you don’t see often. He was really awesome and into the costume.

The tabletop room was constantly busy! Pathfinder, Munchkin, Catan, and so many more had games going on at all hours of the day. It was also a welcoming environment where you could learn to play a game that you were interested in trying out.

The vendor hall was jam packed with offerings from custom costumes, to hand crafted items, to gaming books, to prints signed by the artists. There was so much available it was hard not to spend all of our money there!

This year was its last year at its current location, and that’s a good thing. The convention has grown over the last several years and has gotten too big for its current venue. All-Con 2016 will take place March 17-20th at its new location. Go to their website for more information.
